Gašper and Boštjan are super fly fishing guides. You should definitely get a guided fishing day with them and get familiar with rivers, fish and flies to use.

My friends and I had an amazing fishing trip to the Soca Valley in Slovenia. We fished hard for 3 days catching marble trout (up to 70 cm), wild rainbows and hybrids. Every day something new, every session fish. We couldn't have done any of this without the expert guiding of Gasper of Soca Fly and his colleague Bostjan. We could measure our success from the comments of other fisherman we met along the way, who had all heard of us and knew of our achievements. Gasper and Bostjan, know the waters to fish methods and flies to use. Without them this would have been an ordinary trip to a very beautiful part of the world, as it was it turned out to be a trip that makes memories. I can't recommend Gasper highly enough.

Very professional service and excellent guide. The fishing was different to my usual reservoir fishing, it was fast flowing rivers and nymphing. Despite my poor casting, my guide Taras persevered in teaching me and I managed to land 2 rainbow trout (they fight hard for the size). I lost a few more as well! Highly recommend for a fully guided (and equipped if need be) day. Being a guide myself I highly recommend Gaspar who showed me the astonishing Soca river. I’m not a super experienced fly angler (predatory fishing with hard and softbaits in Amsterdam is my thing) but with the accurate cues of Gaspar things went just great. I had only 4 hours to fish and this was enough to make my dream come true: catching trout on the Soca. The first was the biggest, but the second was the coolest in terms of spotting the fish behind a boulder, finding the best spot to cast and choosing the right fly. I’ll never forget that beast moving to the streamer, making a turn and gulping the thing in his big mouth. Just text book, classic, priceless. And I will be back for that marble trout that turned away last minute. Thanks for the amazing experience!

Gasper is an awesome guide - his local knowledge and expertise made our trip fantastic. The rivers are beautiful, the fish are big and there are loads of them. Well worth a trip!
