Being a guide myself I highly recommend Gaspar who showed me the astonishing Soca river. I’m not a super experienced fly angler (predatory fishing with hard and softbaits in Amsterdam is my thing) but with the accurate cues of Gaspar things went just great. I had only 4 hours to fish and this was enough to make my dream come true: catching trout on the Soca. The first was the biggest, but the second was the coolest in terms of spotting the fish behind a boulder, finding the best spot to cast and choosing the right fly. I’ll never forget that beast moving to the streamer, making a turn and gulping the thing in his big mouth. Just text book, classic, priceless. And I will be back for that marble trout that turned away last minute. Thanks for the amazing experience!

My friends and I had an amazing fishing trip to the Soca Valley in Slovenia. We fished hard for 3 days catching marble trout (up to 70 cm), wild rainbows and hybrids. Every day something new, every session fish. We couldn't have done any of this without the expert guiding of Gasper of Soca Fly and his colleague Bostjan. We could measure our success from the comments of other fisherman we met along the way, who had all heard of us and knew of our achievements. Gasper and Bostjan, know the waters to fish methods and flies to use. Without them this would have been an ordinary trip to a very beautiful part of the world, as it was it turned out to be a trip that makes memories. I can't recommend Gasper highly enough.

September 27, 2022I booked a half-day fly fishing trip on a short notice while traveling through Slovenia and reading about the best fly fishing in the world. My guide was Walter, he was amazing. He was very patient with me as I am a beginner to fly fishing and his knowledge and passion is without end. I caught 3 trout and was extremely happy. I learned so much about fly fishing and the eco system in those 5 hours. Thanks again Walter, I had a wonderful day to remember.
