Being a guide myself I highly recommend Gaspar who showed me the astonishing Soca river. I’m not a super experienced fly angler (predatory fishing with hard and softbaits in Amsterdam is my thing) but with the accurate cues of Gaspar things went just great. I had only 4 hours to fish and this was enough to make my dream come true: catching trout on the Soca. The first was the biggest, but the second was the coolest in terms of spotting the fish behind a boulder, finding the best spot to cast and choosing the right fly. I’ll never forget that beast moving to the streamer, making a turn and gulping the thing in his big mouth. Just text book, classic, priceless. And I will be back for that marble trout that turned away last minute. Thanks for the amazing experience!

August 18, 2023I booked a half-day fly fishing trip on a short notice while traveling through Slovenia and reading about the best fly fishing in the world. My guide was Walter, he was amazing. He was very patient with me as I am a beginner to fly fishing and his knowledge and passion is without end. I caught 3 trout and was extremely happy. I learned so much about fly fishing and the eco system in those 5 hours. Thanks again Walter, I had a wonderful day to remember.
